Begging for a Christmas Gift

This is one of my favorite photos of my original "Cleverpup" Yoshi.
He can sit and beg for hours, one of his nicknames is "Yoshi-SquareButt".
I took this picture a few years ago in our old house and people have told me the dog is fake or a stuffed toy. No, thats Yoshi, ready to rip into the Christmas prezzys!

Let it snow!

Looks like I will finally see the snow Montana is famous for. Western Montana is supposed to get socked with a pretty good winter storm from Saturday night into Monday. I have seen snow totals from 6 to 16 inches predicted for the Flathead valley so its anyone's guess what we will end up with. One thing is for sure, we will have our first white Christmas in Montana.

With all the snow around, its a perfect time for my Let it snow poodles, available now in the Cleverpup ebay store!

Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today.

Today when I went for a drive to town I noticed Flathead Lake is started to turn to ice around the shorelines! By the Somers public boat launch it was ice all the way out to the edge of the bay. With single digit temperatures and wind chills of -13 at night its a wonder the whole lake isn't frozen by now! Brrrrrr!

At times like these my thoughts turn to tropical beaches...and the island maidens who dance along the shores....

Christmas Rudolph Reindeer Cleverpup art

I woke up this morning and looked at my weather station display on the kitchen counter. It read minus 4 degrees and that's when I looked out the window to see a little bird huddling on the feeder outside. The bird was a hardy little house finch and after a few more seeds, he flew off happily through the trees. Montana birds are tough little guys surviving though the long winters here. Long winters mean lots of time to paint too!
I have some new paintings up on ebay today. Original miniatures with a hand painted easel for easy display.

Welcome Back

Things are up and running again here at my Cleverpup Art news blog.
I had to take some time off and get pointed in the right direction. Pointed all the way to Montana in fact. That's where we ended up after selling our home in Washington state. Now that we are semi settled, its time to start creating art getting back into the swing of things.

New projects are on the horizon and we are just getting started.
