Like most of the country I followed Barbaro's story of his amazing struggle for survival after his terrible leg injury at the start of the Preakness Stakes. Barbaro was euthanized on January 29, 2007, I wanted to do a small painting in remembrance of this magnificent Horse with a heart of gold.
