Earlier this year I was commissioned to do a custom painting for a poodle owner who contacted me through my website. First we started with good photos of "Frankie" a pretty cool black standard poodle.
I found out that Frankie's favorite spot was the sofa and his favorite toy was a big yellow stuffed duck that he loved to pull the stuffing out of. I did a pencil rough and sent it to the owner and Frankie.
They loved it!!
I did the border and sketched out the drawing onto the 16 x 20 canvas.
